Space Quest HistorianTime to get back to #GameBox A Day! Here's a special treat. Not one, not two, but three versions of the same game. King's Quest IV was released in three different versions: the original 9 disk version that barely fits in its box (which included separate day/night screens for outside locations), the re-released 8 disk version (which just palette swapped the outdoors screens but also had more detailed, redrawn backgrounds), and the AGI version that was recreated entirely in Sierra's earlier game engine that was also used for KQ1, KQ2, and KQ3.
My 9-disk-version is CIB, but my 8-disk version is missing the manual. The AGI version is absolutely battered and is missing a couple of disks but it's still incredible to have this bonkers version on my shelf.
