@Wisel I love the art in that series of games so much! Definitely good floppy disk memories :)

It's the best #KingsQuest ever made -- and that's the problem. Professional voice acting β Lip-synced animations β CD-ROM production values β ...and yet the finale devolves into pixel-hunting death traps. Why #KingsQuestVI's polish couldn't fix its conservative soul.

Again I post this about AGI.
@ramon_wilhelm In versions between 2001-2 and 2010, the art in AGDI's KQ1 & KQ2 remakes was much different, and in the case of KQ1, arguably inferior to Sierra's 16-color SCI0 game. The changes in 2010 made both fangames far more visually appealing.
Also, the term "VGA" that AGDI used for their fan remakes was always a misnomer, since their games have a much higher color depth.
I can't help but think of that scene from King's Quest III with Manannan in one of the levels of Gobliins 6 π
Another level also reminded me of a screen from King's Quest III πͺ π π²

"What's going on here? Why are you in EGA?!"
A rather striking 16-color Graham sprite in the VGA version of King's Quest V.

An unused view from far away of Mordack's island from King's Quest V.
There's also this animation of Cedric being grabbed by a wolf, which is used in-game, but absolutely looks like it began life in EGA.
Look how off-model Cedric is!
