Death Literacy Barbie rides again!
Thank you ACAP Navitas in Sydney for a phenomenal four hours of engaged and curious, switched on Masters of Psychology class. Part of the life stages unit, I taught older adults, death literacy, meaning-making, advance planning, icebreaker conversation starters, and grief. We got through a LOT in four hours!
Big fun, cannot wait to come back.

Did you know that - despite myths and assertions to the contrary - you can have your organ donation wishes made reality when you undertake VAD.
Obviously there are some exceptions, especially for cancer-related deaths, but neurological conditions are not excluded.
Five countries - Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Canada and Australia - have legislation in place for VAD and organ donation to take place. Victoria Australia has already contributed to the global statistics on VAD + organ donation.
I'm here to support you with information, advocacy and practical planning needs if you have questions. Let's talk.
Preventing carer burnout is a global health priority - and there's a simple approach that you can use at home. Join me for a masterclass in micro compassionate communities for those at end of life, disability support and home-based rehabilitation.
Join the growing community of people benefitting from the Mallon Model approach, and understand how to adapt the roles to best fit your own needs.

My day today was huge. Week 17 update:
Mum and her dog Byron were interred together, then I watched my younger sister farewell our brother's remains accompanied by giant southern pelicans at Picnic Point near The Entrance.
At my mother's interment the first thing after the acknowledgement of Country was Chubby Checker's "The Twist" on my Bluetooth speaker. We danced the dance that mum loved and was brilliant at until she was quite an older adult.
My older sister had taken pictures of mum about thirty years ago, printed them out and we looked through them as we took turns filling in the interment hole then sprinkling rose petals at the end.
