Why did #FutureOfLife take down their open letter against the #moratorium on #AI regulation?
I had been waiting for a public conversation between these two.
4h is not enough ; I know their time is precious, but this is a good use of it.
They both gloss over the fact that our nervous system is bigger than just our brain, but I'm nitpicking.
How much energy could be saved by making our neural networks with numerical specs more efficient than IEE 754 (aka. José) ?

The #AI pause letter signed by #ElonMusk has fake signatures, and been denounced as unhinged.
That's physicist #MaxTegmark's reputation buggered. His #FutureOfLife institute behind the open letter should have known better, and its incompetence will hinder credible criticism of AI/Machine Learning.
