Some trans people here and in another place are going all in on demanding Jeremy Corbyn state what the policy will be for trans people. JC's trans supporting credentials are good. But even so, JC is not the leader of the new party. He is facilitator of new party. They need a constitutional conference to formerly create a new party, name it, and set the initial rules where I expect there will be rules on equality. Then later there is likely to be a policy conference to decide initial policies. At one of these conferences a leader will be chosen. The six MPs of the party will be its spokespeople for now, especially in parliament. This will be a democratic party from the bottom up not top down like the other parties.
So please refrain from asking JC what the policy is for Trans, or LGBT+ people generally at this time. There is no party yet, there are no rules until the Hybrid conference creates them.
