I'm beyond tired of the hyperfocus on individual, clearly definable & targeted acts &/or words of people who've the resources to formally report it.
Most acts of bigotry, especially against Jews, Muslims & disabled people aren't just about those aspects, nor are they individual, they're systemic & they're a combination of those aspects and economic poverty (which most people of these & other marginalized minority groups are enduring).
*A person shouting or muttering "retard" at me as I walk passed isn't pleasant but if it's a choice of getting that from over 75% of the people I see as I walk around outside my home, and getting all the medical clinics my spouse & I have or ever will visit communicate with us mostly via email & the rest in person or never again hearing an ableist remark or epithet hurled at me & continuing the same ableist medical mess set, I'll happily choose & maybe even sing along with that almost chorus of epithets continually. Same deal with getting called a "kike" or continuing the SNAP restriction mess set...Actions mame & kill but words just bruise a little.
