C’était un rêve de voir les Ezo-momonga, ces écureuils volants de Hokkaidō.

Dans la mythologie aïnou, le momonga est considéré comme un esprit protecteur des enfants.

J’avais pris un guide photographe local pour une journée et demie, et je ne le regrette pas.
Déjà, pour ses précieux conseils photo : régler son appareil en mode manuel et ajuster les paramètres presque chaque minute en fonction de la luminosité. Et c’est là aussi que le bon matériel compte ! Mon Nikon D800, qui a 25 ans, et mon 600 mm, dont la focale n’est pas assez sensible (un F2.8 fixe aurait été idéal), m’ont un peu limité.

Bref, quelle belle expérience ! Si vous pouvez vous faire accompagner par des pros qui vous apprennent tellement de choses, vous donnent des conseils, connaissent les meilleurs spots et respectent la nature, alors foncez !

My mom set up a little camera at her house for birds and such - we're pretty sure it picked up a #FlyingSquirrel the other night! Too late/dark for regular squirrels, and the tail isn't right for a rat.
