Stopped in at Fredericksburg yesterday (T82) and discovered the floatplane I saw over Kerrville the other day was based there! Turns out they put floats on this Top Cub a couple of weeks ago so if anyone needs floatplane training in Central Texas, TACAero are the folks to call. #avgeek #floatplanes

This hour’s random desktop background on my #Macbook pro is the Johnson & Johnson Sikorsky S-38 Amphibian “Carnaúba.” I saw this at Oshkosh in 2003, the cabin is more like a living room than an airplane. And yes, that is a steering wheel where the yoke should be. Had a pretty decent upgraded panel with a King radio/GPS stack.
