Marbled Reed Frog (Hyperolius marmoratus) are known for changing the color, during day they are often pale or beige for camouflage, while at night they reveal striking marbled patterns in greens, yellows etc. To conserve water, they often remain motionless on reeds or leaves during the day, these frogs have a reflective skin, as they can turn silvery-white by using purines from their diet. They are native to sub-Saharan Africa, like countries South Africa, Zimbabwe etc.

Shrub frogs (Rhacophoridae) in aterrarium oc Coliogne Zoo. Shub frogs live in trees and shrubs in tropical Africa and Southeast and East Asia.

Je n'ai pas le temps de passer souvent par ici... Mon EDT est définitivement trop rempli ^^ et ce jusqu'au mois de juin 2026...
Mais j'ai quand même réussi à faire quelques peintures les weekends... Notamment cette petite gouache ! Je me remets à la gouache et je découvre qu'on peut vraiment faire de tout ac cette technique !

For the last 20 years, Dominican nuns in a Mexican monastery have cared for the largest known captive population of the critically endangered achoque salamander.
