ABSTRACT. First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Rodolpho Ornitz Oliveira Souza is first author on ‘ IMC10 and LMF1 mediate mitochondrial morphology through mitochondrion–pellicle contact sites in Toxoplasma gondii’, published in JCS. Rodolpho is a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Gustavo Arrizabalaga at Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Indiana University School of Medicine, USA, where he is interested in the cell biology and metabolism of protozoan parasites.
