I'm happy to be able to announce, together with my colleague Miquel Nadal, an offer for a doctoral thesis in #ForestEcophysiology on the subject of "Defining functional strategies at the whole-plant level by integrating traits related to carbon acquisition and water use in seedlings of Fagaceae"
The thesis takes place in Nancy, East of France, in a campus at the edge of a very nice forest.
For more informations, please these this webpage (the start is in French, but the summary is also in English) :

#introduction
I am a plant ecologist at #NTNU in Norway, currently studying the #ecology and evolutionary dynamics of invasive species. I am interested in species interactions, #plant #ecophysiology and using functional #traits to understand ecological patterns.

I am frustrated at the slowness of climate action, and scared of where our world will end up with the current trajectory. I take direct action with groups like #ScientistRebellion and #StoppOljeletinga.

The role of arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis in improving plant water status under drought

We review the role of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) symbiosis in plant water relations in drying soils, focusing on how AM symbiosis affects below-ground hydrauli

Stable Sugar/Starch Ratio Exists in Mountain Trees Across the Globe

The study reveals a relatively stable sugar-starch partitioning pattern in mountain trees across the world, which predominately modulates the balance of carbon assimilates between supply and demand. It provides implications for understanding how trees respond to climate change in terms of carbon ecophysiology.
