🔥 Something little different today...

The other week I went down near Seattle for my Scuba drysuit course and my hotel was close enough to this park I'd been waiting to visit to get some skyline shots withe the Space Needle.

While taking photos, this group of people fire dancing and juggling started to light up. I changed my focus to their activities.

This was a fun change of pace and I had fun putting everything together!

🌅 Chapter Eleven — The Last Sunset in Broome
Four years ago, I arrived here saying, “I’m not creative. I don’t have any artist in me.”
Broome disagreed.

This land taught me to weave copper into talismans, to dance with fire, to let art spill out of me in ways I didn’t know I had.
Now I own my own jewelry business. I perform with flames and get paid to do it. I’ve painted forests that glow back at night.

This photo was taken on my very last sunset here — fire in my hands, ocean at my back.
A closing scene, and a reminder: sometimes the land shapes you more than you shape it.

Blackout Anniversary . . . AFTER Party !

Bickford Park, our final stop of the night,

And secret location of the 2025 Blackout Anniversary Party/Parade After Party.

New Model Circus Army and Ito were Poi/Fireperforming atop the baseball diamond.

There were other "Stages" throughout the park,

Music unplugged, of course it's unplugged, we celebrating the Great North American "Blackout" of 2003 after all,

but once I parked my butt around first base, that was good enough for me.

Chapter 1 — Baptism by Flame

🔥 The music thumped, the air was electric, and my heart was trying to escape my chest.
Four strangers, four sets of flames, one shared rhythm.

It was my first official fire performance — nerves gnawed at me right up until the moment my boots touched that stage. Then the fire took over. My hands moved before my mind could catch up. Time blurred. The crowd disappeared. All I could feel was the heat, the movement, and this wild, perfect flow between us.

When the last beat faded, I didn’t want to leave. The stage felt like home.
