"The Army “found no relational improvement difference in cybersecurity outcomes between the annual training and other less burdensome forms of awareness,” according to a senior service official."

I'm reading that someone invested in a shitty, ineffective training program (once a year? really?), and someone else is just now realizing it sucks.

I've had the Gravity DVD for a couple of years. It was on sale. I felt like I should watch it, to know what the hype was about. I finally put it in and half-watched it while doing some data analysis. Impressions:

  • It's kind of short: 90 minutes
  • It's a lot more action-packed than I expected for a tense thriller about a damaged space shuttle
  • George Clooney doesn't steal the show, and his character is very self-deprecating. That was fun.
  • Sandra Bullock takes her pants off a lot
  • #movies #gravity #space #HalfNakedLadies

    Other useless things:

    • Speaking out
    • Wearing a shirt
    • Leaving your home

In a just world, any Russian spokesperson complaining about "legitimizing aggression" would be slapped soundly across the face with an eel.

Wild guess: frequent nightmares are an indicator of underlying neurological, possibly alternative development, conditions, like that ring finger thing or being left-handed.

Paying attention to nightmares may be a good idea. Recent research shows frequent nightmares are stronger predictors of early death than smoking, obesity, poor diet or sloth https://www.economist.com/science-and-technology/2025/08/08/are-nightmares-bad-for-your-health?taid=69d070b81646ae00010c0729&utm_campaign=editorial-social&utm_content=discovery.content&utm_medium=social-media.content.np&utm_source=twitter
Are nightmares bad for your health?

If you have them often, the answer seems to be yes

First, this is really neat. Second, the title "Prophesy", is a verb. The comment "Prophecy", is a noun. They mean different but related things, and (at least in the USA) they are pronounced differently. The two together might be a mistake, but I like it.

    An Embarrassment of "Richard” 🤭
