Beautiful on the trails but it's not summer anymore. 5C! Eight weeks until the solstice and I am planning a long run for myself. The last month has been a bit of a wash training wise - about half of the volume planned - but I feel back on track now and I am looking forward to the next eight weeks!

A few years back my favourite running shirt got discontinued. I have been looking in vain for old stock. All my shirts are ventilated! Yesterday, I found them now being produced under a different label (exactly the same shirt sold by the same company). Woot!!!

Wore one of my new shirts on today's run! So good!

What a stunning weekend! Brick workouts both days - zone one rides followed by zone two runs. The trails were fantastic as there's been no rain for two weeks so everything is dry. Beautiful sunny weather. Legs felt good coming off the bike - didn't notice it on the runs at all. I am enjoying this training block!

Beautiful trail run today. It smells like autumn. Crab apples are falling from the trees. Cool winds. I love fall running. A chilly 14C - I wore tights for the first time since the spring. I really notice a difference in my HR - I have to run faster to stay in zone 2! I found a training plan for my to be determined long haul (700-800km) bike trip. I have got it printed off and it's up on the wall. There will be a lot more time in the saddle over the next fifty weeks! I'm going to weave the rides into the running training plans. Excited for the adventures!
