First FRMCS field tests successfully conducted under real-world, interoperable conditions
@Funkwerk, @nokia-industries and @Ericsson successfully completed the first common field tests for the new on-board radio equipment in band n101 using Nokia and Ericsson Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) network infrastructure. The test at @DeutscheBahn test site in the Ore Mountains was a major step towards 5G-based #FRMCS.

Die Deutsche Bahn hat mit der Telefónica den ersten High-Speed-5G-Mobilfunk-Korridor inklusive FRMCS-Tests (Bahnfunk) aufgebaut. Doch wo soll der ICE eigentlich für die Tests fahren? Und warum ein Diesel-ICE? Tja, dem bin ich nachgegangen und die Antwort erschwert leider sich das anzuschauen. Hat aber auch Vorteile.
