StitcherThe rainbow quilt is officially finished! (Unless it needs any repairs after it is out of the wash...)
I bought the rainbow batik jelly rolls exactly a year ago, so it seemed like a fitting day to finally bind it. I opted for a gray, swirly fabric that echoes the cloudy effect I was going for with the gray double loop quilting.
This project has brought me a lot of joy and was a perfect way to practice free motion quilting.

The Joel on the hillAttended #FMQ after the meeting. Rather disappointing, definitely for the sound bites rather than serious question and answering. Questions styled as โhave you stopped hitting your wife? Yes or no?โ were ignored, but then repeatedly asked again. When the First Minister gave a considered answer to serious question, it was ignored by the other โteamsโ, looking at their phones and chatting with each other.

This is the finished quilt which was a gift for a friend. It was made entirely of leftover triangles from a quilt I made for myself, and I like it better than the original one. This was the first project I did with free motion quilting. Fortunately, my friend is too kind to point out my mistakes ๐

Theta SigmaSo, I was in #FMQ yesterday, and the thing that really struck me was the amount of performative macho postering that goes on in the male Tory MSPs. (Anas Sawar of Labour was also guilty). It was all โshow indignation and affront at what the other was saying for the benefit of the cameras), and it made me really uncomfortable.
