(2/2) #weirdcarmastodonThe Gruaniad just can’t help itself can it?
‘Opportunities, perils and pitfalls: how UK parties have responded to war in Iran’ and only mention Labour, Tories and the Greens. Where are Plaid or the SNP or the Scottish Greens?
They will justify this on the basis that Plaid and the SNP are not ‘UK’ parties - but the English and Welsh Greens are not either by the same measure. And where is NI?

Of course I got curious and went fishing for info. Unless something has recently changed, using Plaid means you have no recourse from them should your credentials be stolen or misused. They wash their hands of it.
And I'm pretty sure giving your bank password away breaks the bank's TOS so you could lose your account.
Why would anyone think this is a good idea, let alone use it?
Am I just suspicious and untrusting or is everyone that uses this service acting foolish? Asking for science.
Trying to set up a Venmo account on my Linux laptop because I won't do money things on my phone and to use a bank account it defaults to using something called Plaid. When I tried to do that, it wanted my bank login credentials.
Um, how about no fucking way. I don't care how "legit" your platform is, nobody gets my bank password. I'll do it the hard way thank you very much.
People are too damn trusting. Sheesh.
