Приложение LocalSend позволяет быстро сбросить накопившееся с мобильника на комп, в плане фото-, видео- и т.п. записей с бэкапами или же наоборот закинуть книжек и фильмы на планшет.
Можно перекинуть и некий текст напрямую (не сохраняя в файл специально ради передачи). Таким образом обмениваться каким-то сообщениями конечно можно, но LocalSend явно не заточено для подобных целей. Это скорее безопасный способ передачи каких-то чувствительных текстовых данных (в локальной сети по шифрованному каналу).

Технические детали
Устройства обнаруживают друг друга посредством мультикаст рассылки в локальной сети. Примерно так же, как принтеры и т.п. вещи, тот же Apple'овский Bonjour работает схожим образом.
Соединения устанавливаются защищённые(TLS) можно заранее сформировать список знакомых устройств.
Работает и как AppImage, независимо от дистрибутива, в случае Linux'ов.
Скорость передачи файлов упирается лишь в локальную сеть, никаких внешних каналов не задействуется. Гигабайтные видеофайлы летают стабильно и без заморочек.

Энергосбережение
Не в курсе насколько затратно при постоянной работе в фоне. Вполне устраивает, что LocalSend переставал быть активным на мобильных устройствах после сворачивание приложения. Т.е. устройство перестаёт быть видно в локальной сети и недоступно для отправки на него.

Настройки
Работать должно сходу и без ковыряния в опциях. Однако можно выставить и название устройства, под которым будет видно всем и номер tcp-порта и куда получаемые файлы сохранять.
Полезно отключить запрос подтверждения на сохранение, когда приходит с устройства добавленного в список «избранных».

Für im Keller auf einem alten Laptop: nextcloud oder owncloud oder ...?

Anforderungen

- Nutzerverwaltung (2 handvoll) mit Gruppen
- Dateien mit Berechtigungen ablegen über Web API und Browser-UI (ja, mehr nicht, nein wirklich!)
- Wunsch-TCP Port mit eigenem SSL-Cert (nicht self-signed)
- idealerweise tgz auspacken, minimal konfigurieren, starten (kein docker o.ä.)
