Sara Errani e Andrea Vavassori si confermano la coppia regina del doppio misto mondiale. I due azzurri hanno vinto per il secondo anno di fila il titolo del Roland Garros, secondo Slam del 2026 di scena sui campi in terra rossa di Parigi, battendo in finale la coppia formata dalla canadese Gabriella Dabrowski e dallo statunitense Evan King, in tre set con il punteggio di 4-6, 6-3, 10-4 nel super tiebreak.
Nelle bacheche di ‘Sarita‘ e ‘Wave‘ ci sono adesso ben quattro trofei Major: quelli conquistati allo Us Open nel 2024 e nel 2025 e al Roland Garros nel 2025 e ancora nel 2026. In carriera i due si sono tolti grandissime soddisfazioni anche individualmente: la 39enne di Massa Lombarda vanta sei titoli Slam in doppio femminile, i primi cinque con Roberta Vinci e il più recente – Roland Garros 2025 – con Jasmine Paolini; per il 31enne torinese tre finali Slam in doppio maschile, tutte in coppia con Simone Bolelli.
“Vivo ancora questo sogno che non finisce, è incredibile. Oggi è stata dura per noi, ma è pazzesco e troppo divertente giocare con Andrea, il mio miglior amico. Sei troppo bravo. Grazie al nostro team e alle nostre famiglie, senza di voi non saremmo qui. Grazie al Roland Garros per questo torneo e poi il pubblico pazzesco. Ci sono sempre tanti italiani che ci hanno sostenuto e siamo davvero felici di vivere questi momenti e spero di rivedervi l’anno prossimo”. Così Sara Errani nel corso della cerimonia di premiazione.
Parole a cui ha dato seguito anche Andrea Vavassori successivamente: “Anche Sara è la mia miglior amica, sei la prima con cui voglio parlare quando perdo. Sono felice di condividere questa avventura con te. Grazie alla federazione, al nostro team e al torneo. Oggi c’era vento ma c’era una bellissima atmosfera, con il sostegno del pubblico. E grazie anche per il sostegno ricevuto dall’Italia”.

Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori have confirmed themselves the world’s number one mixed doubles team. The two Italians won the Roland Garros title for the second year in a row, the second Slam of 2026, on the red clay courts of Paris, defeating the pair formed by Canadian Gabriella Dabrowski and American Evan King in three sets with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 10-4 in the super tiebreak.
On the ‘Sarita’ and ‘Wave’ boards there are now four Major trophies: those won at the US Open in 2024 and 2025 and at Roland Garros in 2025 and again in 2026. In their careers, the two have also enjoyed great satisfaction individually: the 39-year-old from Massa Lombarda boasts six WTA women's doubles titles, the first five with Roberta Vinci and the most recent – Roland Garros 2025 – with Jasmine Paolini; for the 31-year-old from Turin, three ATP men’s doubles finals, all in partnership with Simone Bolelli.
