A Sara Errani e Andrea Vavassori riesce l'impresa di vincere per il secondo anno consecutivo il torneo di doppio misto al Roland Garros. Sulla terra rossa parigina la coppia azzurra ha sconfitto in finale, al super tie-break, quella formata dalla canadese Gabriella Dabrowski e dallo statunitense Evan King, con il punteggio di 4-6, 6-3, 10-4. Nella bacheca della 39enne di Massa Lombarda e del 31enne torinese figuravano già tre trofei Major, quelli conquistati allo Us Open nel 2024 e nel 2025 e al Roland Garros lo scorso anno..
"Vivo ancora questo sogno che non finisce, è incredibile. Oggi è stata dura per noi, ma è pazzesco e troppo divertente giocare con Andrea il mio miglior amico - ha detto Errani - Sei troppo bravo. Mentre Vavassori ha aggiunto: "Anche Sara è la mia miglior amica, sei la prima con cui voglio parlare quando perdo. Sono felice di condividere questa avventura con te. Grazie alla federazione, al nostro team e al torneo. Oggi c'era vento ma c'era una bellissima atmosfera, con il sostegno del pubblico. E grazie anche per il sostegno ricevuto dall'Italia".

Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori achieve the feat of winning the mixed doubles tournament at Roland Garros for the second year in a row. On the Parisian clay, the Italian pair defeated the one formed by Canadian Gabriella Dabrowski and American Evan King in the final, at a super tie-break, with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 10-4. The 39-year-old from Massa Lombarda and the 31-year-old from Turin already had three Major trophies on their record, those won at the US Open in 2024 and 2025 and at Roland Garros last year.

“I’m still living this dream that never ends, it’s incredible. Today was tough for us, but it’s crazy and so much fun to play with Andrea, my best friend – Errani said. You are too good. Thank you to our team and our families, without you we wouldn’t be here. Thank you to Roland Garros for this tournament and then the amazing crowd. There are always so many Italians who have supported us and we are really happy to live these moments and I hope to see you next year.”

While Vavassori added: “Sara is also my best friend, you are the first person I want to talk to when I lose. I’m happy to share this adventure with you. Thank you to the federation, our team and the tournament. There was wind today, but there was a beautiful atmosphere, with the support of the public. And thanks also for the support received from Italy.”
