Again a fucked up day at work, deadline coming up on Thursday and seeing that my engineers cannot for the life of them write a fucking coherent text in English, not even using LLMs, and they do not know how to use word or excel either.
So I was pretty wound up right after work. Teaching yoga helped me calm down a bitt.
But I am travelling tomorrow, and that is not helping :(

A year and a half into this project, and these famous and renowned architects still cannot fucking design continous technical shafts.
So the briefing room will have some auditory and olfactory amenities in the form of a fecal waterfall.
Refusing meetings because people can't bother looking at my agenda to see whether i am free at that time.
It's all ages in this company that don't know outlook allows you to see other people's agendas and chose a time that fits everyone.
In today's kindergarten, I mean, engineering office, adventures, we play broken telephone!
Or rather, the one where I give information, (male) colleague does not look at it, so goes ask another (male) colleague. Who gives him the same information. And then colleague 1 tells colleague 2 that it is OK, but leaves me fucking hanging with no answer.

Once more babysitting senior engineers at my "9 to 5" is draining me. They take absolutely no pride in their work & they assume I will work 16h/day to cover their asses.
Luckily my side gig of teaching yoga fills my cup and gives me more fulfilling in an hour than a week of paying bills work.

I ordered a new work laptop on Monday. No shipping information for three days.
I arrive to the office this morning to see it will delivered at home (as I asked, since I work from home 4 days/week) today. The one day I work from the office (not even the closest one), and have client meetings.

(because text doesn't reflect the sarcasm properly, read that in the most sarcastic tone you can, and then dial up to at least 20x that)
Our department is working on standardizing symbols for drawings. A couple of local colleagues are in charge of generating the input so that non local colleagues can implement it in the software we use.
I am now reviewing the output based on what my local colleagues consider reviewed and approved input ready for final implementation.
So far I have found
- inconsistent order of languages
- missing translations
- wrong translations
- wrong use of apostrophes
- not knowing the difference between load (demand) and capacity (delivery)
- inconsistent use of terms
- acronyms not matching the spelled out term
And I'm not even done with 1/6th of the document

Things I have to keep teaching coworkers
- basic word use (using formats is hard, mmkay, so is using spell check)
- basic excel use (and: if you search for how to do stuff in your search engine of choice (not AI / LLM) you'll get tutorials that show you how to do it and why)
- how to use the planning assistant in Outlook
- message then call, otherwise I won't pick up
- send a full message with question(s) or information. I won't answer to hello.
- want to have guaranteed time to talk to me: plan a fucking meeting
And yet, most people are useless at basic office skills.
