Murphy's law in action:

I ordered a new work laptop on Monday. No shipping information for three days.

I arrive to the office this morning to see it will delivered at home (as I asked, since I work from home 4 days/week) today. The one day I work from the office (not even the closest one), and have client meetings.

Of course the very important delivery that was meant to arrive THIS AFTERNOON and which had to be signed for arrived at 10am. My usual perfect sense of time meant that I was just about to get into the shower when the doorbell rang.

I answered the door wearing a tshirt and underpants. I feel sorry for the poor postie. At least the school run was finished so there wasn't a stream of mothers and youngsters on the pavement and road.

I felt like I was in a 70s sitcom or something.
