🚀 Meet the powerhouse routers: ET2508 | ET3608-2P2S | ET3616-4P4S — all using Marvell OCTEON-10 CPUs.
These deliver high throughput: firewall, routing, encryption — all at line rate. Plus hardware accelerators, inline crypto, ML/AI engines, PCIe DMA.

OMG! Ubiquiti have dropped a firmware update for the ER-X! Version 3.0.0 and it looks very UniFi-ed.
I love these little things but have been worried about the support status for a while as it hasn't had a firmware release since 2023. They probably should be replaced but hats off to Ubiquiti for pushing a new major version to hardware that has to be close to (if not over) 10 years old.
Well done Ubiquiti.
Just weeks after me bitching that #Ubiquiti has abandoned their line of #EdgeRouter Light routers, they publish version 3.0 of #EdgeOS. You're welcome!
Frankly, the functionality is exactly the same; there's just a new CSS skin and some buttons have moved. Was hoping for better #IPv6 support in the GUI. I should dig up the changelog later.

My #edgerouter lite works good with #OpenBSD
Never had any luck with installing #NetBSD
on it.
Or you can use #openwrt
