Die künstlerische Mitmach-Baustelle des Gestaltung-Master-Projekt "Common Shelter" am "Ecosphere"-Projekthof bei Rietberg schreitet mit großen Schritten der Fertigstellung entgegen. Es soll auch ein Baustein sein, der klimafreundliches Reisen - z.B. mit dem Fahrrad und zu Fuß - inklusiver und einfacher macht.

Am letzten Mitmachwochenende wurden vordere Dachbretter und innerer Boden gebaut. Etwas schwierig war der Anfang der Seitenverbretterung, die mittlerweile aber fast fertig ist. Mehr dazu im Bautagebuch: https://shelter.apgw.de/#2026_06_12

Der Plan:

0. Wenn es zu heiß ist: Den nahen Sennebach erkunden. Ein schattiges Plätzchen finden. Im Wasser planschen.

1. Dachkanten fertig bauen und eine dauerhafte EPDM-Folie auf dem Dach anbringen, dann Gründachaufbau.
2. Wände an einer Seite und hinten fertigbauen.
3. Vordere Sitzkante aus wetterfestem Holz konstruieren und Innenboden mit Leinöl streichen.

The participative shelter construction site at the "ecosphere" farm project near Rietberg in Germany is part of my "Gestaltung" master's project "Common Shelter". It should also be a stepstone to empower climate friendly travels, by bike and foot, and make it easier.

Our plan is:

0. If it's too hot: Go to the near "Sennebach", find a place in the shade, cool down in the water.

1. Fix the roof edge and glue a permanent EPDM foil onto the roof + layers of green roof plants.
2. Build the last side and back walls.
3. Create a front edge from oak wood and paint linseed oil varnish on the inner floor.
