I love my veg store. They basically sell at wholesale prices to the public. Grocery store strawberries are $4. At Superstition Ranch Market they're 75 cents.

Cooking-on-a-budget tip for y'all: You can totally eat #kale stems!

They'll take longer than the leaves to cook, so chop them small (as you would green onions) and then saute them a while to soften them. I sometimes add them when I start a #mirepoix, where they'll disappear.

They're basically just long skinny #broccoli stems; it doesn't make much sense to toss them.

Had lunch with parents last week at one of those places where you can get a 3-vegetable plate with not a single vegetable or fruit on it. Mine was yummy.

(For the record, all of mine at least started life as veggies. Is okra still a veg after it's fried? hmm)
