In Grecia l’ex primo ministro Al. Tsipras di SYRIZA è riuscito a fondare un partito chiamato ELAS esattamente come si chiama il #movimento pangreco contro il nazifascismo

Tsipras ha 51 anni ed è noto principalmente per aver accettato all’inizio del suo mandato da primo ministro un accordo coi creditori internazionali per far uscire la Grecia dalla gravissima crisi finanziaria con un prestito da 86 miliardi di euro. In cambio attuò un programma di tagli e riforme di austerità economica, contro la volontà del suo partito e del referendum che aveva convocato, perdendo il sostegno di molti politici ed elettori di sinistra. La sua intenzione di fondare un partito era stata notata mesi fa, quando si era dimesso da parlamentare.

Il nuovo partito prende il nome dalla sigla dell’Esercito popolare greco di liberazione, la principale formazione armata di sinistra che combatté durante la Seconda guerra mondiale contro l’occupazione della Grecia da parte dei soldati fascisti e nazisti.
