Weโ€™ll #DryAugust started pretty good and then I kinda lost the strandโ€ฆ.some social occasions and general triggering things threw me. But Iโ€™m gonna keep trying. Weekends are rough but I think a no booze Sun-Thurs is getting established.

I havenโ€™t been posting updates the past few days but my #DryAugust is still going, and yesterday finished Day 8 (made it beyond a week!). Iโ€™ve not been to good about establishing good habits the past few days because of various shit shows that have eaten up all my time. But I think Iโ€™ve managed to respond a little more adaptively than usual.

Day 4/31 #DryAugust done

Dealt with a lot of stupid shit at work today, and spend a sizable part of the night doing pro bono editing for Ms. FoC๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Did my habit-building exercise, took out garbage, and washed some linens

Saturday plans: will probably have to do final check of Ms. FoC report before getting it to translator (E to Thai).

Go to home center, prep some JPN study, and sort out my dnd game (i.e., all the shit I couldnโ€™t do during the week). Exercise. Grocery/cook.

Day 3/31 #DryAugust was a bit shit cuz of work

I got some of the stuff done today:

Did the fucking sit-ups, push-ups and squats ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Cleaned my desk ๐Ÿ˜‡

Ate pretty healthy, cooked dinner, made banana bread

Also Ms. FoC tossed a research report on me to edit, so I will have to move Japanese study and home center to tomorrow ๐Ÿซ 

Also for tomorrow:
Take out garbage
Continue stuff above (exercise, cooking)
Sort out dnd DM stuff

Got all my goals done for today.

1. Put away The Laundry Pile
2. Sensible meals / cooked dinner
3. Put a new screen protector on my phone (no bubbles!)
4. In bed winding down from 12:30

Goals for tomorrow
1. Continue food/coffee/hydration trajectory
2. Tidy my desk
3. Start organizing some Japanese study
4. 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, 10 squats (starting small!)
5. If time go to home center (90% of clothes pins on clothes hanger are broke ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ) #DryAugust

Day 1/31 done in #DryAugust challenge.

Got coffee cold-brewing for tomorrow, and got eggs for a healthy breakfast. Baby steps for getting a good routine set.

Also cleaned the kitchen. My goal for tomorrow is to tidy my office/room. For me, a clean space is much more conducive to good behaviors. There is without doubt a strong correlation between the cleanness of my room and the likelihood of me eating salad or McDonaldโ€™s for lunch ๐Ÿฅ— ๐Ÿ”
