Some dude asks for support for my add-on (https://github.com/Extended-Thunder/send-later/discussions/720). I respond within six hours with a list of questions I need him to answer so I can help him. He replies with a vague, incomplete answer to just one of my questions. I call him out and tell him I'll be happy to help him if he answers the questions I asked him. He posts a 1-star review of the add-on claiming "No help/support" (https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/send-later-3/reviews/1174226/). Asshole. My response:

You know what, people like this ^^^ are a big reason I have a love/hate relationship with social media. Some people have such a low tolerance for any deviation from their own personal viewpoints that they act like an asshole to anyone who even slightly diverges. Just a reminder for all of us to not be a jerk to other people who are otherwise good people--and on the same side--in this crazy era of nonstop fighting about everything. #BeNice #DontBeAnAsshole

When someone asks for help with doing something, if your response would be "don't do that", just shut the hell up.

Example: Person X asks "how do I solve this error with systemd"?
Your options are: 1) answer the question the person asked and don't say "find a distribution that doesn't use systemd", or, 2) shut the fuck up. #etiquette #DontBeAnAsshole
