I know we’re not supposed to use functioning labels anymore but I have to use them when talking to people about my diagnoses or else they won’t believe that I’m disabled.

For autistic Christmas, I bought myself a neck pillow with a hood for comfort while traveling. Also, I bought a rolling backpack suitcase thing that I will also be enjoying for accessibility. My last gift to myself was three weeks of sleep to reset my system before the spring semester.
If any of my academic connections need a guest speaker for the spring semester, I’m working on an article about how Arizona Beverage Company is potentially devaluing their entire brand by making a deal with Circle K to commit price discrimination in the weirdest way possible. And people at my institution aren’t going wild for it so I need to try it on a different audience.

Summer break's over... back to using my spoons for work. Even though I feel much better cognitively than physically, and rarely have intense brain fog any more, breaks from work highlight how much better I am physically if I do less cognitively.
Easing in slowly (I hope) with 3 more weeks working ~4 hours per day before moving on to ~5.5 hours. Still lots of remote work in sight, as it makes being horizontal and quiet breaks much easier than our current flex office situation. #disabledAcademic
I'm permanently opening mentoring time for anyone struggling in academia and interested in technology, disability, and politics. Default times are limited, but I will work with you to make a time that works. tinyurl.com/DivergentMentoring
As I'm typing up my reading list for my small business management workshop, I'm reminded that I need to get back to posting about my reading list for my thesis. Particularly after the conversation I sparked off today about LGBTQ chambers of commerce. It's not all obscure hospitality research papers. Some of it's obscure LGBTQ tour guide books for Key West.
