"The Beast of Exmoor: Is this Phantom Cat More than Mere Folklore?"

I thought the Devil of Devon killed off the Beast of Exmoor years ago.

Or was that the Jersey Devil (a.k.a the Leeds Devil)? A folklore legend that describes a legendary creature said to inhabit the Pine Barrens of South Jersey. The creature is often described as a flying biped with hooves.

[Or just some Big Bird?]

The Beast of Exmoor: Is this Phantom Cat More than Mere Folklore?

Generally, it is a good idea for farmers to keep a keen lookout for possible predators for their livestock. But what should they do if that predator is a huge beast which can supposedly hop over high fences and seemingly slip into nothingness? Meet the terror of the English countryside – the frightening Beast of Exmoor.

Ancient Origins Reconstructing the story of humanity's past
Bird 1: 🎶 Cry me a river 🎶
Bird 2: What is “cry”? That’s not a thing. It’s Fly me a river.
Bird 1: That makes no sense. How do you fly a river?
Bird 2: Maybe it’s short for “fly me over a river.” Sometimes you gotta work with the lyrics to fit the tune.
Bird 1: Now you’re really stretching it. Maybe “cry” is something humans can do that we can’t.
Bird 2: What? Nah. They can’t even fly. Beyond writing catchy music, they’re not that sophisticated.
Bird 1: You do have a point. Alright then: 🎶 Fly me a river…🎶
