I like connecting music to recent events so... a week ago, I met a guy who's been doing covers from Green Day’s Dookie. He asked me what my favourite song on the album was, and I told him "She". It’s based on a feminist poem and about the feeling of being reduced to a role. Maybe the "punkest" part of it is "I’m taking heed just for you". What could be more punk, in times like these, than truly paying attention to another person?
