The Dumbbell Nebula
================
A dying Sun-like star, roughly 1,200–1,360 light-years away, has shed its outer layers into space. What remains is this delicate glowing shell of gas, shaped by the final stages of stellar evolution.
I chose to keep the wider field around the nebula instead of cropping in too tightly. Against the dense star field of the Milky Way, M27 appears almost fragile — even though the nebula spans several light-years across.
