#SkyWatch #Astrophotography This image of the #Dumbbell Nebula aka #M27 is a combination of exposures of 120 seconds, 180 seconds, and 300 seconds using a new-to-me technique to get detail in all parts of the nebula. The Dumbbell is about 1200 light years away in the #Vulpecula constellation. Formed sometime less than 14,000 years ago when nuclear fusion stopped in the core of a star like our Sun, it was the first ever discovered planetary nebula in 1764. #StillLearning
