#AlternativeName to #GroupConvergivox is "Darnitia". Just came up with it...based on #DarnIt!
The second method I tried was to recreate a knit pattern by pulling the repair yarn through the worn fabric, stitch by stitch. Took a while to figure out a good technique, but I eventually got a slow but steady routine using two knitting needles to hold the stitches and a crochet hook to work them.
The patch still has decent stretch & flex, and I like the look of it, although I'd like the start & end edges to be more symmetrical: either both neatly edged, or both subtle.

First attempt at using my new knitting skills & supplies to repair an existing garment.
The elbows on a favourite cozy cardigan were worn thin, but not quite holes. I tried a repair technique I've seen others post, criss-crossing long stitches to build up a decorative woven pattern. It was fun to do, and does look neat, but on a patch this size the result is very thick, and pulls at the sides (the shape was originally a diamond, not a cross). Or maybe I was doing it wrong.

Our kid made up something back in elementary school that worked very well as a #curseWord but I can't think of what it was right now.
