I needed some time off because putting the big board away sent my heart rate to 151bpm, which my ?ME doesn't like at all. But today I used my old modern machine to stay-stitch the wool and velvet front pieces, checked the cutting against the pattern, and transferred the markings for the darts and pockets. Chalk first, then thread-marked by machine. My children came and made me stop and have a pot of tea so I'll carry on tomorrow. #sewing #SewingWhileDisabled

I'm removing basting stitches with tweezers because my own fingertips won't grasp the thread.

I'd like to thank my physiotherapist for enabling me to grip a handsewing needle and the fabric so that I could do all this horrible basting so that I can do some annoying ironing so that I can get to the SEWING part of this. My hands ache but I can rest for a while now. #Sewing #SewingWhileDisabled
Today I ironed the interfacing onto bits and now I have to hand-sew the next part: basting the batting to the fabric and interfacing. I'm taking lots of breaks but it's really painful and I've only done one piece. #SewingWhileDisabled
hiding from plagues ☣️♿I'm repairing a pair of pants for my friend. I've also taken the pants up and extended one pocket (I don't want to do the other one, but this pocket is now big enough for his phone)
There are patches in the crotch both front and back to put it back together.
I still have bit to do on this but it's coming togey. I've also taken up the hem on the legs as they were too long.

Footrest surrounding my sewing machine foot pedal, so that both heels are at the correct height for my chair and I depress the pedal with toe pressure -- this means I never need to use energy to keep my foot up off the pedal and my other leg is not in an off-balance position while I'm at the machine.
Prior to this, when tired I'd press the pedal by collapsing my foot towards the floor.
