Happy International Women's Day! I just saw a post on facebook with this image uploaded by #BrahmaKumaris. And I thought it fitting to refer to them today, as they are the rare specimen of an organisation led by women.

Founded in India by a man in 1936. He felt, that women should be in charge - in a time where they were owned by their fathers or husbands.

One of the things I love about Brené Brown is the way she signs off her Dare to Lead podcasts:

"Stay Awkward, Brave and Kind"

I did Dr. @BreneBrown’s Living into Our Values exercise from #DareToLead. Here’s how it went for me 💁🏻 https://d3e.co/tw

3 simple (but not easy!) steps:
🥒 Identify your core #values
🥗 Turn them into #behaviors
🍱 Operationalize them for real #change

Living into My Values - Brian Pagán

I'm reading Brené Brown's phenomenal book Dare to Lead and did the exercise in Part Two. So here's my experience with Living into My Values.

Brian Pagán

#Integrity is “choosing courage over comfort; it’s choosing what’s right over what’s fun, fast or easy; and it’s practicing your values, not just professing them.”
- @BreneBrown 📕 #DareToLead

Reflecting on my values & how well I’m living into them right now:
💚 #Compassion (maximize love)
🧠 #Efficiency (minimize waste)

🙌🏼 What are yours?

#Empathy is not connecting to an #experience. Empathy is connecting to the emotions that underpin an experience.” - @BreneBrown

#DareToLead #UX #Vulnerability #compassion

What we are ethically called to do is create spaces in our classrooms, boardrooms, or chatrooms where people can come in, take off the crushing weight of their armor, and open their heart to truly being seen. 🙏🏼 @BreneBrown!

Paraphrasing @[email protected] in #DareToLead 💪"In all of our research, we haven't found a shred of evidence supporting the commonly held workplace belief that vulnerability is a weakness..." 🙏https://buff.ly/2StZmLL
