@jimniels I had my first taste of durian when I was probably around 6 years old and had already been quite used to various fermented stuff used in Vietnamese cooking. Durian pales in comparison to some of those ultra-funky pastes and sauces.

Incidentally the large Chinese characters translate literally as cat mountain king, an expensive breed of the durian fruit.
