Gifting holidays often come with enormous pressures to choose the right gifts, the best gifts, and the newest, shiniest gifts. If you're looking for something a little more personal, why not try creative reuse?
"Creative reuse" is a broad term, but we use it to refer to anything that gives new life to an older thing. Clothing you've outgrown, jewelry or glassware that has been broken, unreadable books, and more - all of these things can be re-used, made into something new, beautiful, and significant. You could do this at a Creative Reuse Center or a Repair Cafe, but you can also do it at home!
Here's a piece I made with scrapbooking paper and old books, at Dabble Creative Reuse Center! Since the books were no longer useful in their original form, and the scrapbooking paper was no longer suitable for its original purpose, both could be combined into a cut-paper design with new life.
