I have some pics to share that I took on our little jaunt to Ninilchik, one of my favorite places on the Kenai Peninsula, about 35 miles away. It was a beautiful Thursday. #Alaska #NinilchikAlaska #NinilchikVillage #CookInlet #MtRedoubt
So, I was in Anchorage for the last three days. We stayed at a darling boutique hotel in downtown Anchorage right near a wonderful park overlooking Cook Inlet. It was glorious! Here are some photos I took at sunset. #Alaska #AnchorageAtSunset #ElderberryPark #CookInlet #TheSleepingLady

Across Cook Inlet

Our Last night in Alaska and as beautiful as it all is I was ready to go home. But then from the window of my hotel room, way later than I normally stay up, I watched my final Alaskan sunset from this adventure. It was getting pretty near midnight when I sat up and watched this beautiful scene unfold in front of me.

Beluga whales’ calls may get drowned out by shipping noise in Alaska’s Cook Inlet - Alaska Native News

Beluga whales are highly social and vocal marine mammals. They use acoustics to navigate, find prey, avoid predators and maintain group cohesion. New research from the University of Washington, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Alaska Fisheries […]
