Government & missionaries imposed the permanent villages on previously nomadic Yupik people in western #Alaska, villages that were recently destroyed due to climate change storms. Other villages are threatened. If the gov. imposed a modest tax on oil, it could pay for relocating these people. So far only weak proposals are being considered. #ClimateChange
