๐ŸŽค Just gave my first conference talk at #DevDaysEuropeโ€”overseas, on a movie theater stage, in front of ~300 engineers.
Nerves, jet lag, and adrenaline were real, but so was the โ€œspeakerโ€™s high.โ€
Biggest takeaway? Preparation matters, but the best moments happen in the hallway track.
Would I do it again? 100%.

In 2024, I gave 24 presentations, panel contributions, and podcast appearances including producing and hosting an entire day for Denver Startup Week! My speaking schedule was a point of conflict for employment and contract opportunities, so I am dialing it WAY back in 2025.I AM excited to announce my first speaking commitments of the year starting in May! So I take the good with the bad on the DGIQ ratings & comments & work to improve the next presentations I give. I felt pretty good after my Data Strategy session at the PASS Data Community Summit, & it would seem the feedback (attached for your reference) is more in line with how I felt. Over 100 attendees, 96 officially registered, 23 left evaluations.
