It would need to be somebody with dignity, calm assurance, the ability to foster a lasting consensus, an eye for detail and a keen interest in making sure that the House runs efficiently and effectively to reflect the views and needs of the whole nation. Were I a betting man I'd put a fiver on the Tories picking Lee Anderson.
