So here's what I'm learning about cold plunges, as someone being used to "cold" showers..
At 10+ °C they're pretty much the same, but easier! Instead of intermittent exposure forcing readjustment until you're "numb", you only have to adjust once.
At 8-9 °C, there's more bite to it, especially for the arms.. Sort of painfully cold.
Now, at 6-7 °C, it's more of a shock going in! I have to focus on my breathing, and that bite definitely affects my legs too!
Do the Mental Cold Shower Protocol
When it's so hot and humid outside, sometimes there's only one thing to do: take a cold shower! Sometimes the fabric just stays on. 😅
#rowing for today's #workout 10000m at a good steady pace. That's the furthest I have rowed since before COVID. Feels good. Jumped straight into a #coldshower afterwards.
Move. Sweat. Repeat.

-shower temp is irrelevant
-cold water immersion is good but not sure about showers
-if it has an effect, it's miniscule!
