Following on from yesterday toot about my new @freecad designed 4 axis Hot Wire #CNC Foam cutter ( https://mastodon.social/@concretedog/116687575844167409 ) today I've been exploring how to use the FoamCut Workbench addon in #FreeCAD to create custom #Gcodes. I'm now at the point I can start to make any custom cut files! Woot!

@amd People on the internet said that "quartz machining presents formidable challenges due to its remarkable hardness. This necessitates utilizing specialized equipment". That's basically 99% of my motivation for this project. To see if I can. And maybe get some very unusual jewel out of it as proof. (And learn a lot about #CNC machining and the limits of the 3018.)
