I am doing #lathe crimes and there's nobody here to stop me.
Turns out I don't need to buy a carbide endmill after all!

It turns out that a great tool for modifying my #lathe is itself.
I'm having a great time making these little videos as I lean stuff about machining. It's a fun journey.

New #lathe bits arrived! A chuck adaptor plate so I can mount my old 4-jaw chuck on my new lathe, a quick change toolpost, and a set of tool holders. The toolpost is about triple the size of the QCTP on my old lathe. Hefty!
Just ordered some bronze round bar. Time to see what all the fuss is about.
I bought some impossibly cheap endmills from Jeff and the results might surprise you!
Or maybe not. They were pretty good. Better than I expected.
Also using a lathe as a mill is bonkers.

My new #lathe is in! Only mild peril was involved in getting it out of the crate and onto my workbench.
