Went to a small send-off gathering for a #retiring #coworker last night. The retiree, knowing that I've been dissatisfied with my job for a long while (and not caring that others know it) asked "So how long are you here for?"

"Really, I'd have been gone 2 yrs ago, except its a terrible market for tech workers. At least you're an accountant, those are always in demand."

Surprisingly, everyone else attending in ear shot said that they too are looking. Not a good look for senior mgmnt.
