Friday morning and as I come into the kitchen I hear the drops of water outside and realize it's raining. Yum. Today's hand-held message is CLIMATE CHAOS INCREASES THE LIKELIHOOD OF THE NEXT PANDEMIC. No Craige today; I'm a soloist.

The uncomfortable #OMN point - A lot of what gets called “common sense” in #mainstreaming politics is not actually solving the problems it talks about. It is just managing the symptoms while protecting the system that created them.

The #deathcult is the logic of endless extraction, growth and competition. When people defend the limits of liberal capitalism as the only possible path, they are not challenging the crisis - they are accepting the rules of the game.

This is not a fringe idea any more. The current heat waves help push the climate emergency and system failure into mainstream conversation.
