It's raining lightly this morning, enough so that I take an umbrella, but not enough that I leave my foam-core signs at home. I reach Roosevelt Circle at 7:30, set up my big sign but leave my speaker in its cloth bag to keep it from the damp, and hold up CLIMATE CHAOS INCREASES THE LIKELIHOOD OF THE NEXT PANDEMIC. Craige arrives about 7:35 or so.

It's cooler outside this morning as I walk up to Roosevelt Circle, arriving at 7:30 and setting up. No Craige today. I get my big sign clamped to the post, my speaker coupled, and my butt resting on the guardrail as I hold up EVERY DISASTER MOVIE STARTS WITH A SCIENTIST BEING IGNORED. There was a little rain last night, and everything's damp and cool.

It's pleasantly warm out here, a little over 60 F. I reach Roosevelt Circle at 7:30 exactly and set up my stuff, then rest on the guardrail holding up WE MUST BE BETTER ANCESTORS. Craige arrives a few minutes later, and we touch base briefly. He's got all his equipment in a little cart, including a folding chair. Why shouldn't we be comfortable while we're uncomfortable?

Ooooh! It's warm outside! In the upper 50s F, and I'm overdressed in a down winter coat. I reach Roosevelt Circle at 7:31, set up my big sign, couple my speaker, and hold up the data-heavy 2021 IPCC REPORT: "CODE RED" FOR HUMANITY. Craige is out today, so I am a soloist here on the roadside under an actual blue spring sky. Not bad at all.

Friday morning and it's 7:30 as I walk up to Roosevelt Circle. The weather is lovely — pleasantly cool but above freezing, with blue skies above — and I set up my stuff and lean on the railing, holding up THINK IN EONS — ACT NOW! At first I think Craige's not going to show, but he gets here a little after 8 in the company of John Gallagher.
