For my whole life, the "boomer" generation has been "_kicking_the_can_ down_the_road_" at best, if not outright obfuscating and denying their culpability, led by the fossil fuel heavies. Some are still at it worse than ever... Might-makes-right believers don't "get" living lightly.

Wednesday is cool, in the upper 40s F, moist but not foggy. I reach Roosevelt Circle at 7;30, as Craige is walking up. He has his equipment in a little cart, along with a folding chair, a huge improvement I hope keeps him comfortable going forward. I set up my sign & speaker, and lean on the guardrail, holding up CLIMATE CHAOS INCREASES THE LIKELIHOOD OF THE NEXT PANDEMIC.

It's raining this morning, and I leave the foam-core sign behind, carrying only my big wood CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL along with my speaker (which gets left safely in my shoulderbag) and a battered blue umbrella. I reach Roosevelt Circle at 7:29. To my surprise and pleasure, Craige arrives a few minutes later, sheltered from the storm with a yellow poncho.

Monday and I first wake an hour ahead of the alarm, then return to sleep until I'm jolted into awareness. I take care of my pre-vigil coffee and toast, hit the road, arrive at Roosevelt Circle at 7:30, once again a soloist. As with every Monday in the past year, it's ALL-BLACK SIGNAGE until whenever our sanity returns (or I just give up, whichever comes first).

It's grey and windy, so even with temperatures in the 40s it feels colder. I've foregone my pre-vigil coffee and toast as I have to get blood samples taken after I'm done here (just routine tests), so I'm uncaffeinated. I reach Roosevelt Circle at 7:30 and set up (a soloist again), with today's handheld message reading MOTHER NATURE DOESN'T CARE WHAT YOU BELIEVE.

It's threatening to rain this morning, and I grab my white plastic poncho just in case on the wy out the door. As it turns out, it's not needed. The weather, while moist, refrains from dropping anything on me. I reach Roosevelt Circle at 7:32 and set up my equipment, then lean on the railing while holding up THINK IN EONS — ACT NOW!
