SW Capitol Hwy was $25M+ and 30 years of advocacy plus an appeal to the governor, for a single mile, almost, of almost protected bike lane, that ends into BMUFL nonsense at both ends. We don't have 60 or 70 years for people to just get out of their cars for a 1-mile trip. None of this is okay, or what happened with the E82nd jurisdictional transfer and their design is still a stroad with no bus lanes!?? #ClimateDenial #transportation #ClimateWishing

@BenRossTransit our transit board is appointed by the governor and most of them didn't ride even once in the past year. The popular discourse is based on Waiting for Daniel Tiger's Transit (waiting for godot meets somebody needs to drive 🚎 to the front door of your house and wait while you tie your shoes.) Basically #ClimateWishing in the density of neighborhoods that were built according to the rules of car brain/geometry. #LegalizeBikes so transit can live here.

Majority of TriMet Board Members Don't Ride Public Transit

The TriMet Board of Directors is responsible for making key decisions for Portland’s public transit agency, affecting everybody who rides the system every day. But according to TriMet ridership records, only two of the agency’s six current board members regularly used their transit passes last year. The other four never tapped their TriMet-issued Hop passes once in a full year. Public records show board members Robert Kellogg, Thomas Kim, LaVerne Lewis, and Kathy Wai didn’t...

So we're going to put CO2, liquified, in high-pressure pipelines, instead of get out of our cars, and just accept the risk of a leak killing every living thing within a three mile radius, because three miles is a long walk, and obviously we can't ride bikes. #climateWishing

So this whole work session to explain to ted and his pals that cutting the planned #parking fee increase in half has consequences. 😞 Just think of what we could be working on instead of this fuckery. #Portland #transportation #CarsRuinCities #FuckTedWheeler #Vision60or70something not #VisionZero, #ClimateWishing not #ClimateAction

PBOT paints bleak picture as council considers budget crisis fix

#PBOT make excuses for not changing until the #climateWishing comes true challenge πŸ™„
#BikeNite A8 @carolski #pedalPaloozaPDX is an amazing 3-month-long thing but the picture I have from this ride shows a poorly-designed #EdgeLaneRoad / #AdvisoryBikeLanes design (shoulda had a shared central lane narrower than 2.5 car widths) with door-zone lane outside of parking and a car parked in the way for the cherry on top. #PBOT #ClimateWishing #TrafficEngineering
My 12yo is waging a protest against gravity being hard, I mean I totally understand how PBOT and our entire city govt is institutionally wishing cars would pay full price but be cheap and the streets would be empty like a car commercial but bustling with economic activity, and all of it electric & powered by cinnamon-scented #UnicornFarts. #climateWishing #CarsRuinCities #InducedDemand #ScienceDenial #TrafficEngineering

Tire and brake dust means your 4000lb #EV will generate as much emissions as a small gas car, or more!?

"Some companies are experimenting with more sustainable tire sources, such as dandelions" πŸ™„ anything but #eBikes, right. #climateWishing #motoNormativity

β€œ#climateEmergency, they say #climateWishing, they do @PBOTinfo expects to somehow cut VMT (in a hurry) without cutting into the highly redundant carway network. Sadly, #InducedDemand doesn't play that.”
