Hillington Park Church in Berryknowes Road in the Cardonald area of Glasgow. Built around 1910, it was originally constructed as the Cardonald United Free Church, which was created in 1908, when this area was just starting to be developed as a suburb of the nearby city.

As a result, for the first few decades, these flats were in great demand amongst Glasgow's social housing tenants. However, the rents were also relatively high in comparison to other housing in the city. There were also a number of initial teething problems, which included lifts too small to allow furniture to be carried in them, meaning it had to be taken up the staircases by hand instead.

The Glasgow Corporation bought the Cardonald Estate, including this farm, in 1926. By the 1990s the steading had become derelict, and which point it was sold to a developer, who refurbished the farm house and turned the steading into three additional houses.

Cardonald Place Farmhouse and Steading in the southwest of Glasgow. Originallly Cardonald Palace Farm, it's one of at least six farmhouses remaining in the city. It was built in 1848 on the site of the former Cardonald Palace, which was demolished in 1846. The farmhouse includes a panel dated 1565 and bearing the coat of arms of the Cardonald Stewarts, who built the palace, which is all that remains of this older building.

A rather stylish Arts and Crafts style villa on Wedderlea Drive in the Cardonald area of Glaagow. Constructed around 1910, it was one of the first villas built in this area as the city expanded westward.
I've always liked this 1913 tenement on Paisley Road West in the Cardonald area of Glasgow, especially the scalloped twin chimney stacks and the way the downpipes curve around the Roman arched communal doorway.

The new Still Game-themed mural on Paisley Road West in Glasgow is now, and was looking pretty good in this evening's sunshine. It's part been created as part of the Cardonald Mural Trial.
